First COVID-19 death confirmed in Nodaway County


MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Health Department has confirmed the first COVID-19 related death in the county. All we know about the victim is that she was a woman in her 80s, who had been hospitalized.

The Health Department also announced five more cases of COVID-19 in the county. The Health Department says the latest patients are a girl in her teens, a woman in her 20s, two women in their 40s and one man in his 40s.

The newest patients are currently isolated in private residences. Health officials say this now brings the total number of confirmed cases in the county up to 257. Of those 257, 65 cases are still active.
